hey Tessa!I think it is a good idea because I would like to go to a nice restaurant before leaving Maastricht and also some places to visit around the area. any suggestions?
A very nice place where you can have a marvellous coktail (only if alexander prepares it, hehe) is the Mattutchi (near the market).

Well, Daria if you really would like to have a good restaurant, you have to go to the Beluga on the plein 1992 (but it is really expensive while it has a michelin star rate).
You also have a very good italian restaurant, Il Giordino on the onze lieve vrouwe plein (also michelin star I believe)
Something really nice and really from here is Witloof, they have Belgian specialities and is located in a side street of the onze lieve vrouwe straat.
If you prefer sushi, you can go to the koestraat (also close to the onze lieve vrouwe plein) or Rilette, at the back of the Vrijthof is quite nice.
In the bredestraat is also a newly opened restaurant, but I forgot the name, it looks quite chique..... It is next to Bolitas, the beads shop.

I think you have a lot of choices, so good luck y bon aproveche!!

Thanks for your advise! Due to the art fair it was quite difficult to get a table... But in the end we went to "O", where we ate a 6 course menu, which was really good. Although I have to point out that it is a restaurant with only fish and sea food dishes... But: good food and nice service!

You made a good choise! O is one of the best fish restaurants in town.

Furthermore I can recommend Au Coin des Bons Enfants. As they are rewarded with a Michelin star their food is tres bon!
