Escuela Universitaria de Turismo Sant Ignasi ESADE, as a Jesuit-inspired center for higher education, has a mission to provide first-class training and education in order to offer top quality service in the tourism sector.

The university faculty initiative arose from the close cooperation between the two institutions (ESADE and Escuela Superior de Hostelería y Turismo Sant Ignasi) in accordance with their line of innovative educational and training proposals combining the human factor with high technology, academia with the business world and local identity with a universal mission.

Tourism has been taught in Sant Ignasi since 1987 / 1988 and the subject area has now become the school flagship in its development as the Tourism Faculty at the Universidad Ramon Llull.

The Tourism Faculty is located in a catalogued Modernist-style building designed in 1895 by the Catalan architect Joan Martorell and is fully equipped with all the facilities and installations expected of a cutting-edge academic and professional institution.

Escuela de Turismo Sant Ignasi ESADE offers a three-year diploma with subjects in five different training areas: Human Resources, Tourism Management, Language Skills and the Practical Work Placement.

Special additional differential elements include: intensive focus areas, inter-personal skills development, management, international tourism, and the human factor in tourism studies.

Case studies, practical work placements and research projects provide real links to the professional world of hotels and tourism.

Classes are given primarily in Spanish and subjects are in the European Credit System.
